.PH domain names is still a domain name extension that has loads of premium generic domain names still available. It’s a really huge market with our population around 100 million English speakers. Now if you’ve invested in .PH, you’ll notice that parking it is probably gonna be just giving you a few cents per month. So obviously the best way is to develop it and one of the fastest and easiest domain name development project is minisites…

… Type-in traffic is very little for these domain names, as we commonly do type a .COM than a .COM.PH or .PH (very little do). And even if it’s parked, it’s not gonna get much Search Engine traffic because the advertisements are useless for rankings. So minisites are a good way to go.

Why minisites? In the Philippines, there are many blogs that startup every day than other types of websites. So in our search results, notice how blogs dominate and this is why we are so accustomed to blogs. Trust and credibility is not really much of a problem. The best thing about minisites is the similarity that it has with blogs, the look, the feel and the contents. End of the day, what’s really important is the contents that you should have is useful for the visitors to your minisite. What’s even better is that blogging in the Philippines is mostly trying to make money out of it with ads. So for them to see a great deal of ads is pretty normal and we understand why it’s there.

Since I’ve started domaining, I’ve invested most of my money with .PH. And from there I was doing lots of minisites. My minisites all were designed like a blog and is getting really decent search engine results. The most interesting thing was that I was expecting more of Local traffic only but I got local and international traffic. My .PH minisites are averaging at around 20 visitors a day and growing. That’s without any marketing or link exchange, it is purely SEO and content. I’m still experimenting with my .PH minisites and so far I have launched around 12 minisites right now. I would definitely say that its much better than parking it.
