PH Domain names are growing in numbers, more and more people Filipinos are actually supporting the .PH Domain names with great developments of .PH domain name investors investing on our own domain names. Finally the much needed support to push our own domain names is finally coming along. Here are just some of the great .PH websites that have raised so much awareness with their use of our local domain names:
– Compete.com Google Statistics –

Google.com.ph has been one of the main driving force into really bringing PH domain names into popularity. With their redirect to the localised search version, Filipinos surfing the web are redirected to Philippines local search. Averaging around 50,000 unique visitors per month, Google is getting a good number of unique visitors locally. But the most important contribution that they do is that they prioritize local domain names for local searches so giving traffic to countless PH domain names.

eBay.ph is one of the main pioneers (for me that is) in the PH domain developments, it was one of the first PH domain name that I’ve heard when PH domain names were mentioned. It is getting as high as 100k of traffic here in the Philippines compared to Google getting half of what they get. It shows that Filipinos are starting to open up into buying things online, and paying thru paypal.

Sulit.com.ph

Sulit.com.ph is probably the PH website with the highest traffic, getting more than 300 thousand unique visitors recently. It is one of the most well known local websites that started and were created here in the Philippines. It is supported heavily by Filipinos when buying and selling and is a free classified ads directory.
PEP.ph

PEP.ph stands for Philippine Entertainment Portal, which is ran by the same owner of Yes! magazine Philippines. It is getting at least 50 thousand visitors every month by providing people entertainment (Show business) news, giving up-to-date news on Filipino Celebrities. Their news are often mentioned on TV and is seen by millions.
These are just some of the major websites in the Philippines, but more and more are springing up and is entering the domain name with great projects and concepts. Some worth mentioning are Stir.PH (Yehey.com’s, Local Filipino search engine, entertainment portal), Juice.ph (backed by E-Yellow pages, and has a physical magazine version circulated around Metro Manila), and there are more promising concepts yet to come. As the Philippines election coming up this 2010, politicians are using the internet as their campaigns are heavily done online (following Obama’s success). There’s a big future where PH is going, Filipinos are really tech savvy and are starting to embrace the internet (with broadband getting cheaper and wireless).
If your interest is on domain names you could discuss it with us here , If you have any Philippines website project I would love to know what and feature or get involved with it (let me know by contacting me here).
