We’ve all been looking for our own goldmines in the domain name industry, but with the economic recession, which types of domain name investments would sell at a good price (or to be able to sell at all)? Reading thru several domaining articles (along with some speculation), I’ve found some interesting types of domain names that are in demand:
With this economic recession, lots of people become unemployed. They all then go online and find jobs, which places Job related domain names with higher value and in demand in domain name auctions. And the best thing about it, when the world recovers from economic recession, companies can then resume hiring again. So the demand for these domain names are actually going to increase even after the recession, so it could be worth holding on to.
– Jobs for the Unemployed is the hot selling domain name –
Going back to this recession, with people looking for new jobs, some would be so flexible to relocate to another place just to get a new job. I believe this is the trend for GeoDomain names, as people move around, they want to find how the place is. So the Search Engine traffic for these are bound to increase, and the demand for this has been ever growing the past few years. GeoDomain Names with a keyword on activities that you can do in the city, might also see an increase in traffic as new movers are going to be looking for things to do in the city. And the same as job related domain names, when the economy picks up, when people have more disposable income, there would be more searches on more activities in the city.
– New Jobs might mean Relocation –
Again with the recession and moving to a new city, online real estate domain names are going to even rise in value. With moving, people will be searching for “Name of place” + Apartments, House, Homes, Rooms, Condominium, Rent, Lease or Buy (and other related to places to stay. They’re currently selling at such high values, and after the recession, it’s even going to be higher.
