Where’s the Best Place to Register .PH or .COM.PH Domain Names

PH Domain Name reseller or official registrar wheres the best place to register Wheres the Best Place to Register .PH or .COM.PH Domain Names.PH Domain Names are growing quite fast with more and more people investing in it, as well as, companies actually starting to promote their .COM.PH or .PH domain names. Filipinos are finally supporting our own and really have been promoting Filipino brands lately. And now that a lot have switched to the .PH domain names, the most frequent question I get asked is ‘where’s the best place to register .PH Domain Names?“…

…First of all, DotPH (official registrar of the PH domain names) is open for resellers to sell PH domain names on their part. So what we’d notice is that there will be loads of registrars out there that allows registration of .PH. So are some differences in resellers vs. official registrar:

With the availability of domain names are concerned, resellers still carry the same availability of domain names. So whether it is thru the official or reseller, they should have the same domain names available. One of the differences that people usually see is the price, you’d notice either the price in reseller is lower or equal to the official price (For few domain registration vs bulk registration). Mode of payment is allowed for DotPH is only credit card and cheque whereas resellers allow different payments like paypal, globe or smart money payments etc.

What have I gone for?

PH Domain Names official registrar is better Wheres the Best Place to Register .PH or .COM.PH Domain Names– Official registrar is what I went for –

I’d personally go for the official registrar, DotPH. I personally am a reseller, but I don’t resell at all. Why? because I always believe in getting anything from the official supplier than going around (even though it’s cheaper). Trust-wise, we’d always go with the main supplier or some website we barely even know. Price-wise, you could still get discount rates by going thru their bulk discount which could even go lower than the reseller. Unless you’d go for just one or two domain names then it might be worth considering a reseller. I remember the first time I bought the prepaid credits (bulk registration), I paid a cheque to their office and got my credits instantly. So with trust concerns, I know that they have a physical office that we can actually go to if things go wrong and talk to actual people when we need support or help.

Well I would register a few .ph but its worthless for the price.
for running personal or free sites with no adverts.
35 a yr for a .ph while i could pick up a .com for 6?
    I dont think so.
too much advertising to make site earn makes it look cheap.
and to support a .ph you need lots of adverts especially if your from fil trying to make something personal & fun.

@not important: Yup, but remember in .PH you’re holding the premium domains unlike the .COM version where you’ll be lucky to find a great 2 word high exact search keyword available.

It all comes down to your business model and how to you plan to earn from it.

Any reseller you have in mind that accepts Paypal? Can’t find any.

@Kevin: There’s none I know of right now, and just to be safe its best to register directly from dotph than having a new payment method and have problems later on

I know Web.com.ph accepts Paypal and bank deposits as well. Read http://www.web.com.ph/payment.php for details.

@Boris: Thanks for pointing that out, it could be a big help especially to a lot who’d like to pay with PayPal.
