Website Idea: What’s your local Fashion?

What is international Fashion? New York? London? Milan? Every country has their own pride and sense of fashion, and international fashion is focused in specific countries. I start to think in each place, there are great and “locally” famous or upcoming designers or small and local clothing labels that do great fashion and doesn’t have that exposure to become popular.

Extremely fashionable people love to explore new fashion ideas and something original that they could bring back and flaunt in their own countries. So my idea was to provide a website that levels big and small brands (by design) and caters to the need of fashionistas to update and to show the world their fashion. Here’s how it works:

System

• Submission of pictures in a category (Community fashion policed)
• Picture comes with 140 characters (Twitter-like).
• Voting whether the fashion’s hot or not (Digg-like)
• Home page shows the best international fashion of each country (with flag)
• Users can subscribe to RSS or email, with updates on whichever country they want to subscribe with.
• Sale and Promotion announcements
• Commenting on submissions
