SwapaSkill: Free Swap of Skills in times of recession (Free Private Tutor)

swapaskilllogo SwapaSkill: Free Swap of Skills in times of recession (Free Private Tutor)I’ve searched the net for websites that could potentially help others in times of recession and there’s one website that I found that would fit this purpose. SwapaSkill is a great new website (semi-social network) to swap skills with other people in the areas of their expertise, as their website calls it “A favour for a friend”. I have a similar website idea which I’ve posted here in my blog before. What’s great about it…

… is the fact that it’s free, for people to go to tutorials or lessons would’ve cost them a lot while swapping (barter) of skills (lectures) could both benefit people and not to spend so much on the classes. It’s also develops great friendships with swappers and the feel good factor of helping other people out. There’s also a blog, videos, photos and social bookmarking to help swap knowledge electronically with other people, this would be a bit similar to eHow. There’s also a Social Network in the website, which allows adding friends and private messaging.

The User Interface is simple, however, is a bit cluttered like stories / news / media which refer to the website could be placed on the about page. But overall, the whole concept of this website is still great, and has a lot to offer users. Being a good Samaritan in this time of recession would help a lot of people. I can’t wait when new features are added like swap items (online and with a directory). I support this cause and hope it’ll work.
