One of my daily habits is to go to Google Adsense and check how much money I’ve made. What’s even worse is that it gets to a point where you check almost on an hourly basis and refresh to see if there was any change. It does happen to a lot of us who really want to make money online, but we need to stop checking our Google Adsense Accounts often, here’s why…
… I was reading a book about Warren Buffet and how he chose the stocks or businesses that he invested in. The interesting part was that he mentioned not to focus on the short term aspect but look long term. Sometimes it helps not knowing what happens every second but as a whole to get a wider picture of what really goes on.
While I read this his take on long term, I realized that I had such a bad habit when I kept checking on my Google Adsense Account. It’s wrong because it affects us emotionally in such a way that we can feel really motivated one minute and down the next. This emotional state can get us to start moving all our adsense ads around again reshuffling and starting to doubt if this will really make money. But here’s where it goes wrong, In a day or a few hours:
What this habit brought me was a roller coaster of emotions which really shouldn’t be happening when you’re investing. I’ve done my research and know what I should do but as I kept moving the ads and it kept lowering my potential earnings and it made me feel worse. I guess we all have to somehow be like Warren Buffet, see the long term aspect. Let our websites gather SEO and visitors and eventually increasing the earnings higher.
