Nokia: Announces it’s Nokia Tablet 3G

nokialogo Nokia: Announces it’s Nokia Tablet 3GIt’s been a while since I’ve written anything about gadget but this is something that I truly cannot ignore. As people have been anticipating Nokia’s jump into the netbook industry, it was finally annonced that they were going to release their Nokia Tablet 3G. Some of the details will be released by September 2nd, and here’s what they’ve announced so far:

– The Nokia Netbook 3G –

  • 10 inch screen HD
  • 12 hours battery life
  • 2.75 pounds
  • GPS (via OVI maps)
3G wireless connection / WIFI
  • HDMI port
  • Webcam
  • BlueTooth
  • SD Card Reader
  • Microsoft OS

There are also other speculations that the netbook is going to be running Windows 7.

Nokia has announced this before and what’s great is that it has finally surfaced. The specification seems very impressive, with a whopping 12 Hours battery life (that’s even more than MAC’s battery life and other netbooks which has 8 hours only). As to the 3G part, it might be to promote the telecom companies’ 3G internet more, which would make internet fast and on the go (rather than buying a USB modem, you probably just need a sim card). I’m not really the biggest fan of Netbooks, but it seems really AWESOME. Now all we got to do is to wait till September 2 for the official announcement of the specifications.

The HP Mini 311 is much better than this. 3G modem and GPS are features that you could just add on to a netbook whenever you want to… It should not be the reason anyone would go crazy about a netbook that’s worth Php39k…

@r4: That’s true, but its a cool add on to have and We have yet to see what Nokia will be offering (applications etc.) that could make it very interesting.
