Domaining is a tough business to be in, buying and selling does not alway guaranttee profits, but the most important thing here is to learn from others in the industry. A website called NameBio would help educate us on buying and selling prices of domain names in the domain name aftermarket. It’s a great resource (domain name sales data) for all domainers out there…
… There isn’t any one website that gathers all domain name sales data into one website before NameBio came along. What I like is that they gathered up sales data from different sources such as Sedo, TDNAM, SnapNames, AfterNic etc., which saves us time from going thru different websites and checking for stats.

– NameBio Sales details page –

What I like about it is that it gives a good recording on how much the domain name is sold, where it was sold and what is done to it now. I believe the information is great as it helps us understand what’s hot in the market right now, like what sells and what doesn’t and how much. You could even subscribe to their newsletter to get daily, weekly or monthly updates on recent sales.
– NameBio’s Great Interface –

The best thing about NameBio is their interface, The way that it’s all done in ajax and loads fast is very impressive. What I particularly like about it is how detailed you could search a particular record from. From searching thru prices, date sold, prefix, dictionary words, date, etc whichever you’re looking for they have a filter function just for that. You can even add your own sales manually using their add function which needs a receipt as proof of sale to be listed in their website.

I’m very very impressed with NameBio and it’s a really great tool for people looking to get an idea of how much could they sell a similar domain name for. With patterns like these, you could easily learn how much the market is willing to pay for a particular type of domain name. I hope NameBio continues to improve and embetter their services, they’ve got one more subscriber right here.
