Who says that there’s no more good domain names that we can hand register online? This was one of my biggest misconception or mistake when I started domaining, there’s always good domain names to be hand registered. This hand registered domain names might not sell for very high values though but you could make money of it through minisites…
… Try to search around for any certain topic, check with google adword’s keyword tool (make sure to use the ‘exact’ searches), and check if those domain name counterparts are still available. Usually I’m a very big fan of .COM, but gTLD is more than that there’s also the .NET and .ORG which are quite popular to domainers. .NET or .ORG might not command higher values like .COM, but it still can rank very high in search engines.
– The internet space has many holes that we can fill –
So how do we make money with hand registered .NET or .ORG domain names with minisites? All you really have to find out is how is the .COM counterpart doing, are they simply parked and not earning SEO? That’s your opportunity, what you need to do is to get the .NET or .ORG counterpart and make a minisite out of the keywords.
The thing is that most good keyword domain names are owned by domainers and they just park their domain names, so there are always holes to be filled. Find these holes and fill it with minisites and you’ll notice that the traffic will end up in your minisite.

Hi again
Good points here..
Lately, I have been buying some .org still available of site names that I personally have passions to develop (lots still available)
Sometimes, exact keywords or keyword phrases in Wikipedia.
I have noticed .org keyword or keyword phrases can be had on the first page of search results and some instances above the .com even
Goodluck
Have a Special Day,
Yelo
@Yelo: Thanks, that’s so true. It’s because when domainers invest on those .COM counterparts they don’t really do much but park it. If you’ve developed it right, then traffic would just start coming to you.
