I’ve so far made 6 of my domain names into minisites, they’re all doing quite well with my expectations and is picking up good numbers of visitors every day. All of which were premium ccTLDs, which were equipped with Wordpress and with Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertisements. I’ve then tried getting myself some .COM domain names which I’m experimenting with Affiliate Marketing…
I’ve recently bought the domain name LodgingBeach.com, which is highly searched for in search engines (around 200,000 searches). What I like about it is that it is a highly targeted keyword and focusing on a niche which is beach lodging. Also U.S. has a good reputation on purchasing online which makes it great for affiliate marketing to which .COM’s are good to use. My premium ccTLDs might be getting great traffic but people here in the Philippines are not quite open to spending money online. I’m currently on the development stage which is still on the designing and writing up articles right now.

Try to click on Hotels (on the top navigation) and see where that leads you. Notice a slight difference in design, but check your address bar and see how I’ve linked it to HotelsCombined. I found it really cool as it gave a personal branding to it and does a great price comparison which saves my visitors lots of money. So it’s a win for my visitors and it’s a win for me as well, as I get paid when they book (a percentage).
But I’m still not letting go of the PPC, there should be a good few percentage who wouldn’t want to buy but might click on advertisements. So I’m currently experimenting on combining both revenue sources and see which could do well in the long run. I’ll be closely monitoring this and will be writing about it when I launch the website.
