One of the things I like about the iPad is how it can used for a lot of things, from work to play to entertainment, but one thing that is difficult is projecting it to the big screen. You have to buy one of the AV adapters and then a cable and then a projector or tv. But now WowWee has made 2 iPad projectors that we all can use anywhere anytime, these are Cinemin Slice and Cinemin Swivel.

Cinemin Slice is the top notch iPad projector I’ve ever seen, this triangular shaped projector can be connected to all types of media (AV ports), HDMI (HDMI in), iPod, iPad, iPhone (30 pin dock) and many more to be projected to a 60 inch screen. Here’s the specs of Cinemin Slice:

  • Image size up to 60 inch
  • Viewable range up to 3.2 m
  • 16 ANSI Lumens
  • 90° hinge
  • WVGA 854×480
  • 1000 to 1 contrast
  • Manual Focus
  • DLP (no need for lamps, low energy consumption, and low maintenance)
  • 6 watt stereo speakers
  • Remote Control
  • Plug and Play for all devices.

While The Cinemin Swivel is the pocket size iPad projector, it’s as small as a cigarette packet but can project images and play sounds on the go. Here’s the Cinemin Swivel specs:

I’d certainly recommend these iPad projectors better than other traditional projectors, not only do they connect faster to any device, it also allows more complicated devices (iPad, iPhone, iPod) to connect to it. I can imagine using it in the office, meetings, entertainment, playing games, etc. there’s just so much you can do with it. What I really like the most is DLP, it has no lamp so no need for expensive lamp replacements and is low maintenance. I hope to buy one here in the Philippines, I shall be looking around the stores to find one for myself =).
