Hunch: Make the Best Decisions with their Decision making tool

hunch Hunch: Make the Best Decisions with their Decision making toolDecision making is one of the hardest things to do, there are quite a bit of decision making tools out there that could help us do it. Here comes a new startup called Hunch, it is a website that helps people decide using their decision making tool. What I found really cool about it…

… is that it is a learning system that taps into the wisdom of the crowds (Crowd sourcing). It learns by users contributing their knowledge or views into the system and it adds it up to their knowledge database. It is also a free service to use, and does a great job giving decisions to your problems.

All you need to do is answer 20 questions that they’ll initially ask you, it is supposed to be something to base your decision making from (your preferences). You then could start asking questions (like the screenshot above) and find related topics that could help you in your decision making process (and includes web results from wikipedia). The interface is so easy to use and all you need to do is click around the screen, except when typing questions (where you have to type).

It then displays results in tab format and really give relevant and great decisions that I could do. What I admire about them is the way they monetize their website, by using affiliate marketing. It refers relevant external links or merchants to the decision maker, if it was related to the affiliate links that they have.

Overall, I like how they’ve made the website. With a clean interface like this, a beginner could literally begin making decisions in no time. This is one of the best User Interfaces I’ve seen so far. I somehow see this as the Wikipedia of all decision making process in the future. I believe all they have to do now is gain more members to populate their contents. Their monetization plan is also great but to how much they could potentially earn from it still remains a question. I love what they did, and they’ll be seeing more of my decision questions soon.
