HP Touchpad is set to be released on July 1 in the US, a few days later distributed to UK, France and Germany and then Canada in mid-july and the rest of the world over the summer. This is HPs player that will supposedly beat the iPad in the tablet market featuring the new Palm WebOS.

HP Touchpad specifications:
- Dual core, 1.2 Ghz Snapdragon processor
- 9.7?, 1024×768 display, 1.3 megapixel webcam, supports video calling
- 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR,
- Gyro/Accelerometer, Compass
- 1.6 pounds, 13.7 mm thick
- WebOS
- 16 and 32GB
- Flash support
- Quickoffice / Google Docs
- HP Wireless Printer support
$500 for a 16GB and $600 for a 32GB, HP touchpad is still one of the expensive tablets in the market. With the use of WebOS which should entice a lot of cloud users to buy it, will it be able to beat Apple iPad? For me, again, it’s all about the Apps, it might be great for work (like every tablet) but how about the entertainment part? We still have yet to know more about which apps they’re going to have but it’s great to see some competitors fighting alongside Apple iPad.
