How I make money with minisites

My second move after investing in domain names was development, minisites were my choice of development. It is because it was fast to develop and great with SEO. But how do we make money with minisites? Earning money with minisites isn’t always straight forward…

… Earning money with minisites is all about the volume, unless you do own premium generic keyword domain names that ranks highly in search engines. My way of making money with minisites is by developing each domain name that I have, that means developing minisites on each one in a week or two (depending on how busy I am).

I normally design my minisites differently (look at test.ph and onlinebanking.ph), both have their own looks and feel to make visitors more comfortable and stay longer. Monetization of minisites work differently, there are some minisites that are purely PPC and some are a mix of both PPC and Affiliate Marketing. My technique is to wrap the advertisement around the content to encourage more clicks, the important ratio is the CTR or Click through Rate. This means out of how many visitors, how many people actually click on the ads.

If you’d like to earn money fast, then you’d have to first submit your minisite to all search engines and then do link building for each minisite. However, I’d like to go the long way approach, where I develop, add contents and leave it for search engines to index and get traffic. This method of mine takes around a month or 2 to really get the ball rolling. The advantage of this way is that I could focus on more quality contents which search engines love.

Making money with my method doesn’t earn you a lot initially, you’ll earn a few cents or even 0 a day and you’d have to wait for a while for the domain name to age and ranking and get more traffic. Earnings will grow as your minisites get higher ranking and authority in seach engines.
