How I earned $8.60 in a day in PPC revenue with a minisite

To a lot of web developers and domainers out there, I’m sure $8.60 is nothing to compare with what their one domain is earning for them. But what I’m saying here is that its a minisite which I built up in 1 week and left alone. I was amazed to see an earning of that much in a day, I believe the minisite has done really well…

… The minisite is called PropertiesOfMetals.com, it basically provides information about the different properties of metals that has an exact search of 5k+ per month. It’s been up only for 3 months and is fairly new but is already ranking number 1 for the keyword.

What I was very surprised about was that after a week of development and content writing, I only waited for a few days for my minisite to be listed in the 1st page of Google. And in a weeks time, I was already listed on the top spot. The minisite has then exploded with the number of visits going up and has already returned my domain registration fee in 1 month. 3 months down the line, the minisite has then increased more visitors and it has raised its Click Through Rate (CTR) to more than 5%!

The technique I used was simply moving the PPC ads around and making sure that it was blending in with the design. Some of the things I did was to focus and somehow blend the link ads with the border to make it seem like normal links and CTR’s going up like crazy.

I think what really pays is when you do a trial and error for your ads, all it takes is finding the right design and ad placement to get higher earnings. Be determined and patient, research about other design techniques and implement, you’ll find the right combination soon.
