Google Adsenses Earnings are on the Rise

I’ve been making websites and minisites for the longest time and I found it, at first, quite disturbing that it didn’t pay a lot at all. But recently I’ve been really happy and pleased to have increased my Google Adsenses Earnings for 10% or more every month. I don’t really know what I’ve done correctly exactly but I did several things which contributed to the increase:

 

 

Ad placements

I’ve started to play around with ad placements a lot, I’ve always placed image / text ads and link ads on every website. The difference this time is that I started playing around placed bigger ads on the left hand side which is more noticeable and is easily click-able. What I did was that I’ve placed a 728×60 ad in the middle of the header and the main content of the website and added ads within the post. I also added link ads which blended well with the post and background of the website (Google Link ads placement post). Always try to play around with ad placement and learn the best spots for your ads.

 

Quality over Quantity

I specifically remembered that Google was all about quality right? So I thought how do I improve my Google adsenses statistics? If I lower the number of ads that I display and stuck to some just those ads with high CTR then I could earn more (Lower total pageviews with higher clicks). I could be right on this one, I dropped a lot of websites that didn’t earn much and removed some ads that didn’t convert. My stats started to look better and I noticed that clicks were somehow paid a little more! I somehow believe that Google is always about quality and this is definitely a way to embetter your website (from Google) and receive higher payouts per click in return.

 

SEO

I started paying more attention to SEO, I started to work on link building a lot and started to see little returns on this method. I’m not the best in SEO and it’s a tough job but it should pay with better traffic. I also bought a software called scrapebox which auto comments on different blogs / sites and can give you a huge number of link back in a short span of time. I also started to acquire services of some companies that do back linking services from web 2.0 websites, which in time would push the rankings even higher. I only tested these methods for certain websites and just started to see small returns, but, as it grows, I sure hope that it’ll give me more traffic.

 

Traffic Sharing websites

I noticed a lot of websites don’t really rely on Search Engines from traffic, so I started to research and thought where they got traffic from. I noticed there were a lot of websites that offered traffic sharing, the ones that looks like related posts in the blog but with interesting and catchy headlines. I joined several networks but I only found one that is good, it’s called Zaparena. How it works is you first add the ads that they have, after getting 20 visitors to them, you start posting your own ads and it will be displayed all over their network, you get around 200% traffic in return for each click that you send them. I noticed a lot of websites using them and they’ve been really profitable and with a high rank with huge traffic.

 

Economy

This is probably not my doing, but I do have to note that it was also probably as the world gets back to its feet after the recession and starts advertising again. More and more advertisers mean more competition, higher rate per click and more earnings for us publishers.

 

I’ve been so happy that I’ve finally started to see success and started to float my company, it’s been a hell of a ride but I’m happy that it’s somehow paying off (though not a lot). I requires very minimal time spent on sites and it returns really handsomely. I hope it continues to increase as time goes by, I’m very pleased with it right now.
