Being a big fan of multimedia, I’ve been in the lookout for the best player out there. And today, I have the chance to review Fukuda’s Android Smart Box. This box makes your tv smarter and allows you to use it like a big computer (Big monitor) and a very small CPU computer. Affordable and powerful, this box would surely be a good Christmas present. Here’s my review of Fukuda Android Smart Box.
What’s included in the Fukuda Android Smart Box:
- Fukuda Android Smart box
- HDMI Cable
- Male to Male USB Cable
- Remote Control
- Warranty Card
Fukuda Android Smart Box Multimedia Review:
The device was pretty small and easy to carry, I was really surprised that at its size that it is quite a powerful device. It has a 1.8 Ghz Quad Core CPU with a 2GB DDR3 RAM and a 16GB internal storage. Armed with the latest Android OS (KitKat 4.4), it was pretty fast and was great in performance.
I was streaming 1080p videos (HDMI) from my network storage and it played perfectly. For those with older TVs, you can use their AV cables (red, yellow & white cable) to connect it. The device came with default apps which makes it a good video streaming device. I played Real Steel with it at a file size of about 4GB and streamed pretty fast using the WiFi connection. What’s even better is that it has its own LAN port to connect to the web, which improves network speed.
The Remote controller also was a great accessory, you can use it to click buttons or to use it as a mouse (Using the directional keys to move), it is enough for multimedia use. Here’s the really cool part, it has 4 USB ports to connect your storage devices and other accessories like keyboards or mouse. It also has a memory card slot that enables you to expand the memory further. It also comes with other cool stuff like a camera (for skype or online video chat), optical audio socket and a Bluetooth 4.0 (connect wireless keyboards and mouse with).
I was able to watch and surf on my TV pretty smoothly, I love how the default apps played my videos over the network smoothly. This is definitely a better device than other multimedia players out there and way cheaper than their prices.
Fukuda Android Smart Box Work Review:
After I have tested the multimedia, I suddenly had the thought of it being used as a computer on its own. With pretty good specs and connectors, this can be easily plugged into any monitor and be used for work.
To test this out, I simply had to connect my bluetooth keyboard and mouse on my device. And after downloading a lot of productivity and work apps, this instantly turns a normal android device to a work type of computer. Being able to load up office documents, mind mapping tools and with the browsers be able to work as I would on a computer. What’s great is that it is a fraction of the size of a normal PC CPU, but brings in good performance similar to middle end devices in the market.
