DotPH releases new Registrar Console, different browsers are now compatible and multiple nameserver editing!

dotph domain name PH COM.PH DotPH releases new Registrar Console, different browsers are now compatible and multiple nameserver editing!I’ve been using dotPH‘s registrar console for almost a year now, one thing I always complained was the fact that I had to use Internet Explorer as the registrar site can only be opened by it. It wasn’t the most user friendly browser there is and to add to that, it wasn’t user friendly and is tough to manage with a lot of domains. But just a few weeks back, dotPH has emailed me about a new registrar console, which was really really different.

What I truly like about dotPH’s new registrar console is that I can access it from different browsers, which really saves me a lot of time. Also the console is much more of a web 2.0 design, which is very user friendly and simple to use. It is also equipped with AJAX so no need to have the long loading time the page whenever some changes needs to be done. Here are some of the screenshots:

I was very pleased to see a lot of features which I would’ve wanted to see before. Having spent a year using the console before, it was really time consuming. This time, registrar’s are going to appreciate how easy it is to use this system. I particularly like the editing multiple nameserver feature, which really is something I always wanted after registering a lot of domains (Finally!). However, as my focus leads me elsewhere, you’ll notice that on the first screenshot, my domains are in red. This means that a lot of my domains are expiring and I have no intention to renew. I would just keep a few and focus on developing them. I’ll be announcing my new website development here very soon.

    How much are the domain names in dotPH? Thanks!

  • http://www.gangventures.com TechFilipino

    @Leizl: I believe it’s $35 a year, but minimum is 2 years so $70 for 2 years

    Price is the reason ordinary filipino will not buy .ph, can’t compare $70 to $10 for dot com domain. Check NeedName.com (pinoy own domain registrar) offer with Google Apps email free setup.

    @EM: That’s true, but it’ll take a very long time before they start dropping prices. There’s just not enough interest in it
