With all domain registrar and domain name searching tools allowing us to search on what is available and unavailable on domain names, most of the time it gets us stuck on what domain name to buy. Then DomainPigeon.com comes along and shows a list of “Unregistered Domain names” which is so so so useful by giving inspirations and ideas. This will definitely shake-up the domain name generator websites. How it works…
… is by giving you a list of domains which are available for registration. Unregistered Users can browse 3,279 domain names (as of February 5, 2009), while Registered Users can browse a whopping 12,691 domain names (including the 3,279 domain names). To become a registered user, you just have to pay a one-time fee of (USD) $14.95, which is really inexpensive to the value you get (imagine reselling a 5 character domain). The list could also be sorted by different categories which are by date, popularity, alphabetically, and Five characters (Great finds here).
I got so distracted by great domain finds that I forgot to comment on the User Interface, it is just so simple and easy to understand. It’s straight to the point and shows you the list straight away. One thing I did quite find frustrating is the color coding which green means available (darker is more popular) and pink is unavailable. When I wanted a certain domain, I found that some of them are Pink. With a free account, it was a bit limited for five character domains (2 pages), but if you’re looking for inspiration this is definitely great. I was able to register a five character domain though through the website, and it’s worth the money.
This is a must visit website for domain name buyers, it will definitely point you to the right direction on finding the right domain.
