Domain Secret kept by domainers

What’s really interesting for me to see is how, us, domainers would give our daily tips and insights to the industry while keeping most of what domain topics they invest in or how we plan to develop it as a secret. At first, it got me a bit confused, like even though I know what to do, I have no clue as to where or which topic to focus my investments in or how one domain should and could be developed…

… Most often than not, you’ll read about a domainer acquiring a specific domain and not really telling people about what the domain is and what they intend to do with the domain. Some don’t even publish what minisites or domains they have in their portfolio. It usually got me misguided when I started out.

Fast forward to today, I have understood why, us, domainers can’t tell others about this secrets. We all are cashing in on our own specific topic or niches, and simply telling someone about can call unwanted attention to it that they’ll have more competitors to worry about. Think about it, it costs only $7 / year to register. If I tell you right now what it was I’m starting to invest in, in a matter of hours, most of the good ones will probably registered by you.

This is probably why we need to tell you about our domain investing and developing ventures once we believe we’re able to secure our position. The domaining industry is one of the most friendly industry I’ve ever been in, we may all be somehow or someday competitors but we’re glad to help each other out as in the long run in benefits everyone. You should really read and understand more about it, and one day be able to find your own topic or niche that could potentially be lucrative for you to really make decent money with domains.
