For us, domainers, it would be great to make the most revenues from our domain name investments. We’ve all been used to buying & selling, PPC campaigns, Affiliate Marketing, renting domain names but nothing on leasing ‘parts’ of our domain names. This basically means using a certain subdomain (Example Domains.techfilipino.com)…
… This was brought up in ElliotsBlog, about Multi-use of domain names. This opened up a good perspective on monetizing domain names, imagine being able to use a domain name, at the same time, you’d be able to lease parts of it without affecting your website.
– Make money out of your sub domain names –
This is also good for affiliate marketing, somehow hiding a redirect, by showing the subdomain linked to your website but is redirected to your affiliate link. This is perfect for GeoDomain Names and Generic Keyword domain names, as your could put either a highly searched keyword in the front of the domain name, which is great for SEO.
SEO for this is good, because the subdomain name acts as a keyword in the searches. It basically counts (keyword1.keyword2.COM), so it even gives you a higher point. But the downside, of course, is that you get a longer domain name and have a higher probability of typing www.Keyword2.COM than with the subdomain name.
This is a good option for others who have a few domain names and want to earn more out of it. Renting it out to a business will definitely yield you more revenues. I think with this, the possibility of earning more revenues isn’t impossible. So make sure to get a good keyword and capitalize on the sub domain name.
