I’ve been reading about minisite news recently, and some domainers even argue about minisites are for the short term (and sooner or later they’re gonna be out, it will peak and then decline badly). This is what I would disagree on, I believe that minisites are here to stay, and here are the arguements…
… Although users are already becoming aware of the existence of minisites, there’s still something that they could take from it which is valuable and relevant information. And as long as the content is relevant and valuable, users are going to stay with it till it’s no longer relevant or they got what they need.

Minisite developers are also growing in numbers, which some domainers anticipate will get it up and then sharply decline later on. I think they could be right on this point, but only because I believe the evolution of minisites will be called another name as minisites are known to give little value to the visitors and encourage them to just click on advertisements. However, I believe minisites must also evolve or otherwise die in the long run. Evolving of minisites is something that I’ve written here. Which highlights the use of new designs and better contents. It’s the only way minisites could survive.
The only way minisites are not going to survive is if Search Engines ban minisites from coming out of their searches, which it can’t as we can argue foul (relevance of content). But beyond that I don’t believe that it will stop, I even believe that it will grow in numbers and soon, visitors won’t even realize that it is a minisite.
