Domain Name: Bing is domainer friendly

We all know how domain names are great for SEO, and with Microsoft’s new search engine, Bing, domain names are even given higher priority. I have covered the release of Bing before here and here, to which I did declare myself one of the Bingers. What I found interesting was that…

… my domain names were getting very high ranking in Bing, getting as high as 1st in search engine ranking results. But comparing it with other search engines, It’s on the first page (bottom) or second page results. I’ve been very pleased with how they’re getting high results, considering that these are premium ccTLDs that have been developed to minisites that I’ve built recently and haven’t really aged yet.

I’m experimenting with my .COM minisites which I expect to pick up as well. I’m a bit pessimistic as to how it could be in the future. It could adjust, once it indexes more pages in the future. But today, domainers are enjoying the priority over their domain names, we’ve been getting good traffic to our domain names from Bing. So make sure to submit your domain name to Bing, it could just drive the traffic that you don’t have to work hard for.

In this search engine war, I bet Google will only emerge as a winner in spit of presence of Bing that has a pack of some exquisite features.

It’s good to know that Bing relies heavily on domain names. So now more netizens will be encouraged to have their own online presence. It will set a bigger stage for domain name registration and rock the business of domain name registrars.

There are quite a number of good domain name registrars operating in the market today such as Yahoo!, Network Slutions, LimeDomains etc.

@Mary: Actually I have yet to say who’s gonna be on top. Bing’s doing a great job but Google’s already the dominant. It’s only that could tell who’s gonna win. But that’s right, Bing is so good with generic domain names that it gives it such high ranks.
