I’ve invested heavily in .PH Domain Names than gTLDs for the past few months and my target is to develop my .PH Domain Names into money making minisites. I found that .PH Domain Names do have a lot of premium generic domain names available for hand registration and that it is still untapped by a lot of domainers for different reasons. One of the questions people would have is whether .PH Domain Names minisites are a good development project…
… My experiences with .PH Domain Names has so far been great, I’ve used the same method which is thru WordPress and making a minisite out of it. One of the obvious questions is that how much is it earning? I’ve developed a minisite that targets a topic that the counterpart gTLDs were not developed, it’s earning great, raked in around $10 in 5 months. I’m expecting it to get ROI which is about $25 for the registration fee. But there are also some which were developed for 4 months but only earned around $2.50. My earnings varied from one topic to another some yielding high profits less clicks while some are more clicks but less PPC cost.
– Revenues are breaking even with Renewal fees –
So if the earnings are not enough to cover the hand registration fee, why do it?
If you’re looking to invest short term in .PH Domain Names then it’s not the path for you, it will take time (really long time) when things do catch up (could take 3 – 10 years depending on the country). It is a long term investment and that you’d really have to prepare for the long days that you have to live off small revenues. My approach is not really to sell but to grow the minisites and one day get a full blown site made for it. I believe now is not the time to sell .PH Domain Names for developing countries but instead to buy and develop them, as you’d really want the internet to mature and increase in value first.
