Credit Cards Heaven: Credit Card Comparison Website, An Example of a Great Affiliate Minisite

credit cards heaven minisiteI’ve been pitching so much about Minisites lately, Developing them and monetizing them with PPC and Affiliate Marketing. Many would argue that making big money online isn’t about PPC but is all about Affiliate Marketing. I was able to find a very good example of such a great affiliate marketing only minisite. CreditCardsHeaven.com.au is a minisite dedicated in comparing different credit cards for people…

CreditCardsHeaven.com.au might not be the exact keyword searched by people online, but what it lacked in keywords, it made up with unique and great contents and an amazing system. Would you believe that it was built from Wordpress?! I couldn’t tell till I saw the code. I could personally tell that the work done in that website was really a lot (I mean crazy amount of work involved).

CreditCardsHeaven is targetted towards Australian population (hence the .AU ccTLD) What I really found interesting is the amount of functions that their website can do. For example, the header (above) had this buttons, each being able to allow the users to filter the credit cards according to their needs. There’s even a calculator function which allows you to see savings if you switch from one credit card to another.

What’s even so cool about it is the interactive interface is mostly ajax, which means that it loads up very fast (Except the calculator which were built from Flash, but still loads pretty fast). There are also more than 100+ pages of unique contents in it (blog plus other pages) which it will definitely get a good search engine traffic. The most interesting thing is how it monetizes, it is purely affiliate marketing based, comparing credit cards and signing people up. Banking is a very hot topic online and pays a high amount of CPC, so I can only imagine that it pays a good Affiliate Marketing Lead.

This is just a perfect example of how a minisite can grow into a full blown website. It just takes time and a little effort to get things done but it is achievable and lucrative as well. PPC might earn you a few dollars for a few clicks but an Affiliate Marketing lead could be worth $1 or more per sign up, with a good looking website coupled with great contents, trust is already there and definitely good earnings. I must applaud Develop.com.au for a job well done, it must be a good money maker for them.

  1. G’day from Downunder (Melbourne, Australia to be exact)

Thanks for the compliments and writing about our site :-)

Yes we did put a lot of work into Credit Cards Heaven and enjoyed every minute of it!

Affiliate marketing can earn more than a site filled with PPC ads but it’s a lot more work. For example you have to constantly monitor the programs you’re promoting: a lot of the time merchants try to rip off affiliates. It’s very sad but reality. So if you’re looking to get into aff marketing try stick with the big, reputable companies to start with.

  2. @Savious: That’s true the amount of effort that you need for Affiliate Marketing is just so much. Efforts on both checking on your website as well as the offers. But I’m very impressed with your website, that’s like the perfect example of a minisite going to a full blown website.

Hope you could continue to inspire us more of your work.
